About Guizar Concrete Construction

Locally Owned and Operated in Denver Metro

A stylized letter G logo with bold blue and orange geometric shapes, creating a three-dimensional effect on a white background.Guizar Concrete Construction is a concrete contractor based in Hudson, Colorado, serving the Denver metro area since 2015 and our leadership team have been in the industry for three decades. The business handles residential, commercial, and municipal work — and applies the same standard of preparation, execution, and attention to detail across all three, regardless of project size.

Ownership is directly involved in estimating, project planning, and on-site oversight. That’s not a marketing line — it’s how the business is structured. When Alfredo Guizar puts his name on a bid, he’s also the person responsible for how the job is managed and what it looks like when it’s done.

What We Do and How We Do It

Our work ranges from residential driveways and flatwork to commercial slabs, parking lots, and loading dock aprons, to municipal right-of-way projects including curb and gutter, ADA ramps, and public sidewalk work. We’re fully insured and carry commercial-level coverage across all project types. We handle permitting where required and coordinate inspections when they’re part of the scope — that’s standard for municipal and commercial work, and it applies to residential projects that require permits too.

We’re a bilingual crew. Alfredo and the team work in both English and Spanish, which matters on job sites where clear communication between the owner, the contractor, and the crew has a direct effect on how the work gets done.

Commercial Standards on Every Job

One thing worth saying clearly: we operate at a commercial level on residential projects. That means proper subbase compaction, mix designs appropriate for Colorado’s freeze-thaw conditions, correct control joint placement, and finishing done the right way — not the fast way. A lot of residential concrete work in the Denver metro is done by crews who cut prep time because the homeowner can’t see it. We don’t operate that way.

Our experience with right-of-way and municipal work — which involves mandatory inspections, city specifications, and zero tolerance for shortcuts — is part of what shapes how we approach every job. When your work gets inspected by a public works department regularly, you build habits that carry over.

A Story That Reflects How We Work

In January 2020, Denver7 ran a Contact7 segment about April, an 87-year-old Denver woman who couldn’t leave her own home. A handyman had built her a wheelchair ramp too steep and too narrow to be usable. Alfredo’s daughter Julenny came across the story and brought it to him. The next morning, Alfredo, Julenny, and the crew were at April’s house — took out the non-compliant ramp, poured a proper ADA ramp with the correct slope and a widened landing so she could turn around with her walker, and charged nothing for it. Alfredo said it simply:

“When I heard that she was trapped, I didn’t feel good to myself that she was trapped in a place that she was supposed to be free. So that’s why we decided to come over and do something about it.” — Alfredo Guizar

It’s on the record. Denver7 covered the full story here. We’re not leading with it as a selling point — it just says something real about how this company operates.
